Infants, Geography is taught through projects. Topics are related to the local area as well as the adventures of ‘Barnaby Bear’, who travels to various locations around the world.

Work on conservation and the skills of planning, mapping and use of signs are introduced. These are then built on and extended as pupils proceed through the Junior School.

In the Juniors the curriculum is regularly updated, taking account of governmental guidance. We always seek to make the subject relevant, vibrant and stimulating as befits this vital area of the curriculum. Major continents are studied as well as local geography. In depth research is used to compare other localities to our own. Atlases and maps are extensively used and we are concerned that the children learn to love and care for their world.
